Status effects are tracked using Status-Effect-Markers. At the End of each Cleanup Phase one Status-Effect-Marker of each kind is removed from every Unit.
The strength of a Status Effect often depends on the amount of Markers stacked on to any given Unit. In this case [x] refers to the number of markers of the given type stacked on the unit.
> A Unit with 3 Bleeding Markers on it would take 3 damage at the start of the Cleanup Phase, then one of the markers would be discarded. <
Every time this Unit would take damage remove any number of Armoured-Markers from it. Reduce the damage taken by 1 for every Armoured-Marker removed this way.
Bleeding [x]
A bleeding Unit takes x damage every Cleanup Phase.
Buffed [x]
A buffed Unit gains +x to its ATK score.
Burning
A burning Unit takes 2 damage every Cleanup Phase
Confused
A confused Unit must flip a coin whenever it wants to Move or take an Action. On Heads it fails to do so, the Action or Movement is considered to have been used.
Enraged [x]
An enraged Unit gains +x to its ATK score and reduces every damage taken by x.
Frightened
A frightened Unit cannot use its Action to Attack or to Capture a Resource-Field.
Hastened
A hastened Unit can take one additional Action per Turn..
Petrified
A petrified Unit can take no Actions, cannot Move, cannot take Reaction Strikes and can not use any non-passive Abilities.
Poisoned [x]
A poisoned Unit takes 1 damage every Cleanup Phase and reduces its ATK score by x.
Regeneration [x]
A regenerating Unit heals x HP every Cleanup Phase.
Shielded
Every time this Unit would take damage remove 1 Shielded-Marker from it. It takes no damage.
One Attack or Ability causing 5 damage would remove 1 Shielded-Marker, not 5.
